ABSTRACT
The Fenton degradation is an effective oxidation reaction used for degradation of harmful organic substances in waste water. The Fenton degradation reaction has a wide application in industrial waste water treatment because industrial waste water contains different types of toxic organic compounds which are harmful to environment. The present study gives advanced application of Fenton like degradation process for the treatment of waste water. We have used successfully used nano ferrite catalyst for the MB dye degradation up to 96%. The result of this degradation are also supported by GC-MS data. The parameter optimized for this degradation are PH equal to 3.5, catalyst conc. equal to 2% w/v, H2O2 equals to 1.5 gm/lit. This parameters where from acceleration dye degradation for this parameter found optimum in the dye degradation of methylene blue with conc. of 1 ppm. The ferrite catalyst calcined at 600 °C shows best catalyst action for Fenton oxidation process.
