ABSTRACT
The article emphasizes the importance of conducting research in the field of social welfare, social work, while presenting their condition, dilemmas and perspectives. The author of the article pays special attention to the lack of usefulness of the multiplicity of data that is collected within the social welfare system, and thus have nothing to do with the practice of social work, as a useful profession.
