ABSTRACT
A series of substituted 2-((phenyl amino)methyl)-1,2-dihydro-5-(3-methoxyphenyl)-1-phenyl1,2,4-triazole-3-thione compounds were synthesized and examined their purities as per the literature.
The IR spectra of νC=N, νC=S, νNH and νCOC frequencies and NMR chemical shifts (ppm) of δNH,
δOCH3, δCH2, δC=N, δC=S, δOCH3 and δCH2 are also assigned. The assigned IR and both 1H NMR
and 13C NMR spectral data have been correlated with Hammett substituent constants and SwainLupton’s parameters using single and multi-linear regression analysis. From the results of statistical
analysis, the effect of substituents on the above spectral data has been studied.
