ABSTRACT
Fish Landing Place (PPI) is an anchorage for fishing boats/vessels, a place to land fishery products, and a place to sell fish that covers water and land areas, to provide services and public services, and to facilitate fisheries business activities both fishing and management. In fishing operations, you need a boat and fishing gear used to find and catch fish. This research aims to identify the fishery vessel types and fishing gear used by fishermen at PPI Cikidang. Data were obtained from primary data by conducting interviews and direct observation. In addition, identification is obtained from secondary data by finding references from the scientific literature. The identification results showed that the vessels in PPI Cikidang were 1-16 GT with a total of ± 729 units with fishing gear used, namely trammel net, drift gillnet, liong bun (trammel net), bottom gillnet, seine net, longline, and small pelagic purse seine. The most widely used fishing gear in July 2022 in PPI is boat/vessel seine with a total use of 407 units. While the least used fishing gear is basic longline with a total use of 5 units.
